This photo is from Stavanger summer 2017. I stayed with Jamie for a couple of days. We went out looking for my grandmother/ Jamies greatgrandmothers house, and we found it. Jamie is standing right in front of the house. We were walking around in Stavanger and had a great time together.
I used to work in Stavanger when Jamie was there so I met him
quite often. Very often he came to my home for dinner. I guess that he was a vegetarian, but he always asked me for making some gooood Norwegian stuff like meatballs. Jamie
loved to sit around the table eating with good friends.

In 2018 Jamie came to Lervig nursinghome. I visited him many times. He was always very happy when I was visiting. Always a big hug and a big smile when I came. He really loved visitors.

I feel very touched that I got to be with him also on his last weeks in the nursing home. Sit by his side and play some music and hold his hand. Quiet and peaceful and never any complaint.

I would like to thank Lervig nursing home who took such great care of Jamie during his illness.
Everyone treated him with the deepest respect and dignity.

I will forever remember Jamie as the great person he was all his lifetime and I met him for the first time when he was about four months old. We all have so much to learn from him. It has been hard to write this, I felt it was right to do it in English as that was the language we spoke together.

All the deepest conversations with Jamie I will forever hide in my heart.

Thanks Jamie I will never forget you. R.I. P
